Jia Sung is an artist and educator, born in Minnesota, bred in Singapore, now based in Brooklyn. In her spare time, she is a monkey. She is currently an art director at Guernica, Teaching Artist in Residence at the Museum of Chinese in America, and Teaching Artist at the Children's Museum of the Arts.
Her work is recognised by the Society of Illustrators NY + LA, and American Illustration. She has exhibited work at the RISD Museum, the Whitney Houston Biennial, and La Mama Galleria. She is currently a 2018-2019 Smack Mellon Studio Artist, and recipient of the Van Lier Fellowship. Full resume here.
